Prospective Student-Athletes

A prospective student-athlete is someone who is looking to participate in intercollegiate athletics at an NCAA Division I or Division II institution in the future. All prospective student-athletes must complete the amateurism certification questionnaire HERE.

Make certain to verify with your counselor that the courses you are taking/have taken/will take are on the LIST of APPROVED CORE COURSES.

NCAA Schools and Conference Athletic Web Sites

Search for Schools and Sports around the country by their Athletics Division (I, II, or III).

The NAIA offers 23 national championships in 13 sports in addition to the emerging sports of competitive cheer and dance and men's volleyball. Use the School Search to find NAIA institutions that sponsor these varsity sports.

The NJCAA is the national governing body for two-year college athletics, covering junior college and community colleges nationwide. You can search here for MEMBER COLLEGES.

CUNY ATHLETICS

Intercollegiate and intramural athletic opportunities are available to students on every CUNY campus. At the varsity level, four-year and community colleges compete on 24 men’s and women’s teams. Four-year college varsity teams compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), while community college teams belong to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
