CUNY Information

The City University of New York includes 11 senior colleges, seven community colleges, The Macaulay Honors College and five graduate and professional schools, located throughout the city’s five boroughs. Each of the senior colleges offers a distinctive history, as well as a rigorous baccalaureate degree program and enriching campus experience.

The University’s seven community colleges provide a high-quality education through associate degree programs that prepare students for transfer to senior colleges or entry into professional careers. The CUNY Graduate Center offers more than 30 doctoral programs. CUNY School of Public Health and Health Policy, a collaboration of four CUNY institutions, offers master’s and doctoral degrees. SPECIAL PROGRAMS AT CUNY

Macaulay Honors College offers academically gifted students an exceptional undergraduate education, integrating the vast resources of the City University with New York's cultural, scientific, and business communities. Macaulay Honors College enables talented students to develop the multiple perspectives they need to respond to the challenges of the 21st century. Macaulay students enroll in one of seven CUNY colleges (Baruch, Brooklyn, City, Hunter, Lehman, Queens, or Staten Island).

College Discovery & SEEK

College Discovery (CD) is the higher education opportunity program at the two year CUNY colleges. SEEK stands for Search for Education, Elevation, and Knowledge. It is the higher education opportunity program at the senior (four year) CUNY colleges. The programs were established to provide comprehensive academic support to assist capable students who otherwise might not be able to attend college due to their educational and financial circumstances. Students are admitted without regard to age, sex, sexual orientation, race, disability, or creed.

CUNY ASAP

Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) offers free tuition, small classes, convenient block schedules, and work experience to enable highly motivated community college students to complete their Associate degrees in less than three years.
